  1. This reminds me of my mother. When you grow up poor, do not waste have been built into your brain. Even if it’s not good anymore.

  2. That is a really nice husband to stick around with someone who has so many issues. Some woman are so blessed to have such wonderful men in their life and they just don't seem to appreciate. When their are so many liars, cheaters and thieves in the world. Carol s truly blessed. To have him and her family.

  3. It is truly a mental illness. My hubby is a hoarder. Came to find out all his childhood issues, abandonment, abuse… almost impossible to cure it or to tone it down. Clean the house and in 3 secs of walking in, he will mess it up. Everything is thrown all over, disorganized and just not used. Just collect and collect, spend and spend.. sorry, cannot be fixed permanently.

  4. My father has advanced dementia, and is a hoarder. He hides his stuff in the basement, and when their sump pump stopped working during an extremely heavy rainfall, a lot of his stuff got ruined. He kept going and pulling stuff out of the dumpster, and asking why we were throwing his stuff out, and that we could use that later. He's also very much a child of the Depression and WWII rationing, as well as one of 7 children to a migrant railroad worker; saving, reusing and collecting were part of his life for a very long time. I watch Lloyd and see a more extreme version of my father and just want to cry.
    Edited for spelling and clarification.

  5. Lloyd makes me sad and mad, I cannot imagine being his daughter. He make it very difficult to care. Also, his rhinestone sunglasses are too funny 🙂

  6. Sadly both Lloyd and Carol are really sick individuals who need so more help than cleaning out their hoards can bring. 😳 It's a great start of course. Carol's husband seems to have moved on and who can blame him. I think it's great he still cares enough to help support her. Lloyd will hopefully enjoy his remaining years in a facility of some kind. I think the weight lifted off his shoulders of not being in that environment alone will make a difference. This is one of the worst episodes I've watched in a long time. 😬

  7. So tired of hoarders using the Depression as an excuse for their behavior. You can’t use it if you can’t find anything pans aren’t organized! My hoarder father-in-law tries to use that excuse, too. 😡 I realize this show is meant to make me feel sorry for them, but it just makes me sick and angry. They also should show “clean” hoarders, cause I’m tired of hearing, “I’m not a hoarder, I’m a pack rat! I don’t have a problem!” Just justifies them and does nothing to stop them before they start hoarding trash (which father-in-law actually did before my husband threw it all away, yeah, he washed it out, but was keeping trays from TV dinners!)

  8. Gosh, I feel bad for the clean up people, they were cleaning up a REAL dump of Loyd’s. It looked like a city landfill tbh…..worse than a city landfill….I’m glad the sisters stepped in and took charge, after all, enough IS enough!

  9. I work for a free restaurant in minneapolis, and besides homeless we have a lot of seniors who i assume live this way, some carry several bags, or carts, or have cars full to the ceiling of junk

  10. Notice how in almost EVERY episode you can see Dollar Tree and Target bags? I've been saying for years they should co-sponsor this show! Look at all the FREE advertising they're getting from their bags in all the junk!!

  11. before my mom passed she would watch this show and say “i’m gonna haunt hoarders when I die.” she was a neat freak lmfaooo, but i look at them and recognize the extreme mental illness. very devastating

  12. Wow-yeah i just watched the rest of this. Carol needs a minister/deliverance for sure. Kelvin needs a divorce attorney and some peace in his life. This woman has way more going on than just hoarding issues. WAY more. I don't blame her family as I would want to get as far away from that evil as I could. If she's not willing to get healing/help then there is nothing can be done for her.

  13. This woman needs DELIVERANCE. This is a demon at work, folks. I pray that she/they see this comment and pursue finding a deliverance minister in their area and getting her delivered from this stronghold from the enemy. The devil comes to steal, destroy and kill-the Bible tells us so. How much has he stolen from her/her family at this point?? I mean, who can deny this reality and now he's trying to destroy her marriage as well. Deliverance WILL fix this. I hope they see this…

  14. Carol was higher than a Georgia Pine at the end when she sat on her couch. Also: She's so "injured" but she sure hopped/ran when they found her hiding stuff in that shed. 💀🤣

  15. Lloyd’s problems go deep. He could certainly use a really good counselor to delve into his issues. It’s sad to see the impact of his personal issues on his children. I can only imagine their childhood growing up 😔. I hope he finds peace in his life and asks for forgiveness from his children.

  16. If Lloyd has dementia, he needs to be in a nursing home, not have the crew clean up for him to do the same thing over again because he forgot they were there…. i mean its the inevitable anyways. So a waste of time and they knew that, but it makes good TV. Sad.
