I got my Ranger R76RTF tire machine almost a year ago now. I wanted to spend some time using it before I did a review. I have to say, I really enjoy using this machine. I particularly like the ‘Power Assist’. It’s made mounting tires so much easier. In fact, I use it all the time now.

The only stand outs with this machine that I think are worth mentioning are that you need to provide adequate space behind the machine so that the boom arm can swing back. You’re also going to have to run a dedicated 220v power supply to the unit. I’m finding that’s true for most shop equipment.

Thanks for watching!

  1. Our coats machines just use air for the turntable motor. I never understood why use electric when you already have air going into the machine for other functions

  2. Congratulations on new equipment!! Happy New Year !! You videos have been a help.. I am a DYI guy..Enjoy watching your show.. Thank you for all the help..

  3. That's one fancy tire macheen.
It can make armpit stars come out.

Any real car guy's shop should have one. That way you can buy cheap used tires from wrecking yards to do lots of burnouts.

I was using a May 'tire matic' (1940's wheel bender/grinder) & recently upgraded to a Coates rim clamp unit… I hate having to take a tire to a shop now.

  4. Can u please tell me the actual space need to work properly with this machine, I read the manual they go crazy like 3 m infront, 2m back side and 3m side.. Simply the company ask u please don't buy our products .. And really I don't have much space for that.. I try to figure the space needed in this vedio but I can't, please if u can give the actual space!

  5. Huh! So that's whats wrong with me. I haven't been feeling normal lately. Done banged myself up so many times I've gone and knocked all my stars out. Who would have thunk it? 😁

  6. One thing I've got to say watching your review after having a Coats basic changer is that you have a high end machine yes and a very capable machine but you obviously had, at the time of recording, little experience handling a tire machine.

  7. I don't work with tires often so I don't use valve stem installers. I just put the cap on halfway, stick needle nose into the gap just below the cap and use the flange as a fulcrum just as with the actual tool. You can ruin the threads on the plastic cap but that's not the end of the world.

  8. Great review.. thanks for all for your videos. Your videos helped a lot of YouTuber. How much did you pay for the tire machine? Just curious.
I’m thinking about getting one for home garage.

  9. I could mount and balance 4 15" tires in 20 minutes back in my 20's. I always enjoyed working on cars but you just can't make any money doing it anymore. My father did well back in the 70s and 80s but nowadays it's just not worth it. I still work on cars but on the side, for myself. I still don't make very much money working for myself. Anyways, the machine seems to be nice but I like an air table better, they're faster. Also I like the bead breaker activating button on the handle itself, but that's just personal preference. Nice machine it seems.

  10. I like the machine and i like the fact your just a regular Joe and your not trying to be something your not. Very good video and on just a regular guy/girl level.. Thank you. +haha I've had them stars come out, no fun….

  11. The horozontal wheel on the power assist is for when tyres fall down and stick back to the bead after you have taken the top bead off so you dont have to awkwardly take the half removed wheel and tyre back to the bead breaker. Very common with bridgstone tyres

  12. What would something like this run the average non famous fella?
The bead blaster hose is nice.
I used a cheetah in a professional environment. best thing we did was make a tube to thread into the ball valve and launch pop bottles like crazy!! it would launch them out of sight at massive speed!!!

  13. Great review! Side note. Did you know there is a valve core remover on the other end of the valve stem remover/installer?

  14. Ive used this machine minus the side arm for a few years. Its been a good machine. The problems I had were the valves on the pedals had nylon spacers that didnt hold up but I believe they cured that issue. The tire gauge lasted about a year. The oiler blew through the oil too fast and didnt regulate well.Because of the price Ill probably buy another one.I used it to also dismount low boy tires although Im sure this wasnt meant to be used for this.It handled it but stressed the motor

  15. Right now I got a hunter tc3250. The thing I like about hunter is they weigh much less and are more compact. Was wondering Eric, what's your opinion on road force balancing? I want to pull the trigger and get a road force balancer but I don't know if I can justify the cost
