1. HI ERIC have you every had a 02 sensor read -2 volts and cant get into the positive? ive a p0172 code

2. Tip: If anyone is having trouble breaking an O2 sensor loose, this worked for me: Soak it for a couple of days with liquid wrench (penetrating oil). Then, run the engine until at operating temperature. This uses heat from exhaust gases to expand the manifold or exhaust pipe or cat to make it less tight on the sensor's threads.

3. I put in a brand new bosh sensor to replace the old one after getting a P0140 code , now the new one displays a p0141 code.
   I didn't do anything to the wiring to damage it so I'm lost on this one

5. Eric, I watched this whole video (top-notch, like all your videos), but unfortunately, it didn't address the problem I have, so I was hoping you could help point me in the right direction. I have a 2001 Ford Taurus (3.0 6V) and am getting two rear O2 sensor heated circuit malfunction codes: P0141 and P0161. Recently had to replace the torque converter, so tranny was in/out/in. Shortly thereafter the B1S2 threw the heater malfunction code, so I replaced it with a new one. Two ignition cycles later, the code returned with the B2S2 joining in. Can you give me a methodical process to trace the harness side wiring?

6. This is the part of working on cars I hate the most. A simple repair like an O2 sensor ends up meaning partially dropping the exhaust for the "easy" option.
   I just changed the water pump on my '04 GMC and was greeted with the P0161 code. I can't imagine how I damaged any wiring replacing the water pump, but at least now I know how to test the sensor. Thank you!

15. can the sensors be interchangeable if it's the same bank with the same type of plug? Like using a sensor 1 on the sensor 2?

I have a code for faulty heater circuit but when I hold the sensor in my hand with it removed from manifold and turn ign on I feel the heater heating up fast,anyways my uestion is I see on my scan tool that the sensor itself is fluxuating just like my fsm says it should,so even though I have faulty heater circuit will me ecu still be able to read this sensor?

23. Hi Eric, hey I have a problem with my o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2, it reads low voltage circuit, I compare with bank 2 sensor 2 and the readings are the same, but I have no codes related to bank 2 sensor 2, any tips will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance 👍👍👍

Hey eric, been watching your vids for a decade, i have a 2003 jeep wj with the 4.slow, 99k miles, i have 141 and 161 coming on at the same time, changed relay, o2 sensors, light was off for a few days and when it came to the heater monitor it triggered my light again.. I'm confused, is it my cats or ecu?

33. I would never ever use silicone spray as it is an enemy of 02 sensors. Instead, use a spray bottle with Ivory dish soap. It works just as good and is 02 sensor friendly.

35. I had this same code. I replaced the 02 sensor and reset the check engine light. The code came back immediately. I took the new 02 sensor out and checked the ohm. The brand new Bosch sensor was reading 186.5! I went back to the parts store and swapped it out. I checked the second one at the counter. It read 2.6. Went home and installed the second new one. No issues so far. I waisted several hours looking for a short in my wiring. Tip of the day, check all new sensors before you install them!

37. Eric, We just changed all O2 sensors on my daughters 2003 Ford Escape v6 4×4. Getting the P0141 Bank 1 Sensor 2 (not pending but stored code) and sometimes if you rev engine the temp guage goes up to red/overheat level. Any ideas??

38. Eric I replaced down stream a year and half ago . Same thing again burnt out heater in o2 sensor . I am guessing the cat is going and heater is staying on and burning it out ? 2002 dodge 4.7 Thank you Leo

39. Just use that 7/8 inch wrench that you had that would take it off with dodo use the tubing wrench if you ain't got one
