  1. The piston skirt cracks tell me you overhoned the cylinder and the piston was rocking back and forth rather than gliding up and down. Not good! youre lucky the skirt didnt break off any of them and get wedged between the crank and piston. 90% of the trouble is from not boring and honing to correct size and not tuning correctly on top of it. The inconsistent tune wasnt too bad but that bad honing job that enlarged an already worn cylinder was the thing that messed it up and caused the cracks. All that blowby can increase detonation too which all leads to this damage.
