2. I wish i could do this but the plug has been cut. I have the other plug that would in theory connect to a scanner… Is there anything i can do to replace that plug or hook up a scanner?

3. Hi! I have a question. I have a 1998 Honda Civic with D15Z6 engine. I found this connector and closed, but the check engine lamp did not flashes, did it only light. What's the problem? I found next to it a 3-pin connector – could be this the good connector for me, or why didn't flashes and why did it light? I haven’t used this so far, but it would make my job easier. 6. I have a 2000 civic and the obd2 port doesn't work, when I jump this only the srs light flashes (bad seat belt clip thing) and the cel just stays solid, how do I change which one its flashing?

8. Just to complicate things I have a RHD USA built 1999 3.0V6 Accord Coupe with Motorola PCM here in the UK . It has a 2 pin plug and a 3 pin plug in a blue blank support under the steering column . Jumping the 2 pin gives you ABS codes and I got a 32 (Front Right solenoid problem). The trouble is there appears to be several colour codes possible for the 3 pin plug for the SCS wire which you pull codes . One is an earth one is +5v and the other is anybody's guess depending on the colour which could be red , brown or grey depending on wherever you have sourced your info .
   As it is OBD2 a code reader and 3 pin adapter should work but it does not find the ECU after searching for the protocol Honda uses despite being listed in the code reader document .

13. 05 Is OBDII and has the actual connector under the right side of dash. You cannot do this

I just tried this with my 98 Integra to turn off / figure out codes but when I connected the two wires under the dash my ABS light turned off and blinked five times and then didn't do anything else and now everytime I try it the SRS light turns on and the check engine light turns on when the wires are connected but they turn off when I pull the wire out of the plug and it doesn't say anything on my OBD2 reader about the ABS so I'm really confused and I just kind of want the damn light to be off😩

21. Long pulses are basically the "tens column" in mathmatical terms, & short pulses would be the "ones", if I'm understanding you correctly? In other words, A long pulse followed by four shorts would be a "14"? Edit: Never mind I watched further into the vid, & yeah, that'd be it.

31. I have a 93 civic hatchback with the CEL on. I did this but my CEL doesnt blink it just stays on. I tried turning the car on and the CEL shuts off. Any advice?

34. Ericthe car guy …i have a 2000 honda accord ex 3.0L…now after i had an emmisions test done my engine light came on and my engine started running a bit rough.
    Everything was fine prior to emiision testing..took it to auto zone and ob2 scantool would not work..it claimed it did the scan but when plugged in there were no
    readings or codes..they told me to check my fuses and they all worked and none were blown..but yet it still did not produce readings for codes..the only fuse that did not flash
    was the( start signal fuse 7.5 )..when does that produce a signal..or would that be why its not communicating with scantool..

35. 2000 handa accord has srs light on and i tryed to reset it by shorting out the yellow adopter under the drivers side and it didn't work

42. So never known to do on obd1. Just recently gotten another 1995 Honda Accord Ex Sedan (Favorite Year) Having issues with Vtec. Bench test vtec solenoid, test good. Took egr apart and cleaned, 2 valleys (passageways) completely blocked. Replaced the solenoid oil seal. Hopefully the scan will lead me to right direction….

This was very helpfull , im in Australia working on a 1997 honda accord here the OBD2 port should have been behind the ashtray , however it wasnt so on right hand drives the blue connector is under the glovebox on the left hand side of the car , i bridged the connector read the codes , thankyou for your help

48. what if you have cel on but jumping the pin does nothing?
