This is (Episode 28) of the #ETCGDadsTruck Series.

In this episode I wrap things up in the engine compartment of #ETCGDadsTruck. This includes the installation of the new transmission cooler lines, the fuel lines, as well as some other miscellaneous stuff.
I might make a video just on making custom braided lines if there’s interest.

I could feel is frustration when he was wrestling with those transmission lines. He was trying to play it cool for the camera. I noticed there was a little cut in the video where he probably stopped to scream “MOTHER F*CKER!!!!!!â€Â
What chrome alternator did you use and are you happy with it? Videos are great! Love what you have done so far!
My grandfather gave me the same exact truck about a year ago. I'm only 15 and I have spent every dollar I've earned in the last year on it. I aspire to make my truck as beautiful and functional as yours. Thank you for doing everything to the fullest. Amazing work.
is there a vid in this build series of you installing the efi as far as the ecu mounting and doing the wiring?
I had the same fun swapping a turbo 350 out to a 4l60e in my 73 k10. Overdrive is mandatory with today's gas prices. Complete custom exhaust. Nice work man. The hydroboost upgrade was lots of fun. Hah hah.
could you tell me where that brown wire from the alternator goes to?
Love that neat little grounding strap. You're right; it is the little things.
The front drive serpentine belt conversion 💪ðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾ðŸ’ªðŸÂ¾
P.S. Was the tubing bender you used this one?

A video on custom braided lines would be AWESOME! I vote "Yes!"
Eric, back to the hyper-technic pistons … Ever wonder why hyper-technic pistons have that black coating on the skirt of the piston ? That black coating is a Band-Aid without that Band-Aid the hyper technic piston aluminum is too hard on the piston wall…. ( I learned this the hard way years ago used same type of piston in a small block 350 Chevy with the correct clearance the hard aluminum rubbed through the crosshatch on the cylinder wall that’s why they started using the black coating on the sides of the piston , oh and these pistons are also pretty noisy at cold start )
When he said “idk it’s the little things†I couldn’t help but lose it
i know you prolly already fixed it. but with the power steering hoses didnt they make a kit where you can do the same thing as you did with the trans lines. and im sure the answer is in the up coming videos ill watch
You cant use a tube/pipe cutter and then flare the end of your power steering line? making necessary bends?
That engine just looks so badass!!!! Great vid again, keep em coming! Greetz from the Netherlands 😎ðŸ‘Â
So they fucked up your driveshaft by taking off 3" instead of 1.5"? Shouldn't they buy you a new replacement?
Where do you get the hard line -6an adapters
Good Job Eric
All them fantsy tools and no line wrenches? lol
I like that blue Crescent wrench
I bought a similar kit for my 350, having trouble finding tv and throttle cable brackets. Really would like to see what you use in the next episode
ERICK! WHEN ARE WE GONNA HEAR THIS THING START UP?! IM SICK OF THIS UGGGHHH!!
I'm excited to hear the first start up, at the same time I'm not because that means this series is that much closer to wrapping up. I dont want it to end, have very much enjoyed this truck build!!
Looking good Eric. I'm sure you dad can't wait to take it out for a drive. One question will you be paying the tickets? Hahaha
Hello Eric the Car Guy DJ LOUIS here just wondering which impact gun you recommend to get. that remove a drive axle not.
Hi, my Mini Cooper engine overheated and can't turn on anymore. My mechanic said to replace the engine, but is there any other options?
that nose wheeze tho
My muffler bearing is getting loud I tried spraying wd40 in the tail pipe but it didn't help what oil should i use its a ford
totally unrelated: When i tourqe my wheelbols, i use 120nm which is specified by the manufacturer. However, when I went to remove all the wheels, boy were they stuck on there good… I only used 120nm, didn't overtighten, and it had only been 2 weeks, and the vehicle hadn't been driven alot since. How could this be? Are the bolts and threads in the hub damaged as fuck or?
Plastic Torque Converter Cover mixed with Y pipe = gooey plastic covered Y pipe. Just my thoughts Eric. Zip~
Dads Truck is coming together very nicely Eric. Can't wait to see it in action.
Bad battery cable ends at the battery. They are a stereo installer's dream, but do yourself a favor and solder lugs on the ends like at the block in the future and you'll never have a problem.
Eric, i looked in the description but i didn't see it. What brand/model of flexible AN hose did you use? Do you like it?
All Eric's concentration and frustration comes out of his nose as he breathes lol
That distributor is reason why hate gm v8's smaked up against the firewall 🤦â€Â♂ï¸Â
About the integra…
Polyurethane bushingsðŸ‘ÂðŸÂ»
Now, Eric. I've used the Eibach Proline springs. They are SO nice. Because of the progressive winding. It's not at all to harsh for daily drivability at all! Infact it's quite nice. The spring rates for me are in fact awesome.
The only downside for some people is the fact that it lowers the vehicle by an inch maybe one and a half. But it's not to bad at all. Nor does it really require a stiffer shock absorber.
I had some on my 99 Plymouth breeze for years. Never had any issues. The springs just made the car feel more like a higher end vehicle than it was. (I used to joke about it really feeling as luxurious of a ride as a benz)
What I mean by that was is that it was very soft and luxurious felling until I would corner fast. Then you could tell something wasn't stock. However if I didn't corner fast, nobody would have ever noticed anything wasn't stock. It felt so damn good.
I'm looking towards doing it to our family car (dodge dart) someday. Just in case I need to pull an emergency evasive maneuver.
It's never a bad thing (in my opinion) to have brakes that can rip your eyes out of the sockets. Along with sporty handling for those oh shit moments on the road. As well as enough go go to get you out of troubles way if need be.
Now, being able to return to fully stock without and signs that anything was ever different. As well as only improving the vehicle without taking away from the comfort, gas mileage, or drivability is my personal goal when "modifying" a vehicle.
(And personally I hate using the term modifications when I'm just switching out parts like springs, bushings, pulleys and brakes.)
Eric what happened to the episode when the dipstick kept popping out.
Great video Eric looks great
