ETCG & Jason Fenske (Engineering Explained) Track Talk -EricTheCarGuy

In September 2014 I was invited by Mobil1 to go to Bowling Green KY to visit the Corvette assembly plant, the Corvette Museum, and most importantly, drive a C7 Stingray on a brand new race track. While there, I met up with my good friend Jason Fenske from Engineering Explained. In this video we talk about our experiences on the track. You also get a glimpse of my not so great driving. It’s not as easy as you think BTW.

That said, Jason took 2nd fastest at the track on his first time out on a track. I’ll admit I was impressed by that. Congratulations Jason.

Hope you enjoy the video.

  1. Find a local SCCA group and take a performance drivers training. You will gain a wealth of knowledge and have a blast.

  2. lol that would be interesting tracking a vehicle ur not used too thats y ur missing gears.

if only u owned it for a week u'd be used to it :0

  3. Had a 1979 z28 comero with a 350 small block and 3:73 rear end with a shift kit, and i have spanked way too many Corvetts to talk about. It would  bark tires in 2nd and 3rd. The corvett's would spin tires and burn rubber off the line all the while mine would hook up and BITE the pavement !!! Still got it too and ill rape a vette any day.

  4. What's said is I talked as excitedly after my first golf cart race that wasn't super put put,  but that's alright. I think I'll remember it forever. I just say this thinking, this has got to be even more fun! . . . . unless I'd be too scared, lol.

  5. Man. This video made me smile. This kind of stuff is what cars are all about.

I can't understand why some people don't understand us.

  6. looks like you had fun, to go fast I learned to go slow round cones in a gravel pit teaches you good car control, a high performance car wants to go fast so its really hard to do then its cornering entry and exit after that its easy

  7. Looked like fun…. Would you buy a Stingray having driven one now Eric? That is if the price tag wasn't an issue..? Are they as rough riding as the old ones?
