5. Hi Eric. After playing with engines myself. I have NEVER had one stall on me due to high oil pressure until recently.
   Engine would stall on cold if revved past 1500rpm. If i let it idle at 980rpm till it warmed up..the oil pressure would drop as it warmed, just enough to not let it stall.

   Has anyone else ever had this issue? This really got me by surprise. Petrol 4 cylinder engine with hydraulic lifters.

   I lost my hair trying to fault find that one!

7. the person that had the 427ci crate engine question?    oil bubbling up the dipstick and overflowing sounds like you didnt vent the valve covers or install some sort of pcv system and your building up pressure.

Hi eric just wanted to say thanks for the video's I just subbed to your channel- I reeeeaallly appreciated the video on thermostats-I'm a complete idiot when it comes to cars and I am having an issue with my 81 GMC vandura overheating after driving 6-10 blocks. I had the  head gasket replaced about 4-5 months ago and now im having this overheating issue, mostly just wondering if my mechanic  screwed something up..? Im hoping its just a thermostat issue (imma try and fix that myself) and not the water pump.         
     any who thanks I appreciate the vids alot.

10. Hello Eric, I have a 1996 Chevy k1500 5.7L vortec. I was told when I got the truck that it needed a water pump, which it did, and a fuel pump. However, when you turn the truck over aux you can hear the fuel pump. Is there a way to tell that the fuel pump is bad before either removing the box or dropping the tank?

11. Eric, I have a 95 GMC 1500. When starting in the morning it cranks and cranks and will start after about 10-15 seconds.  Once the engine has been started and you shut it off then crank it again, it fires right up ( up to about 2 hours after shutting the engine off)  Any ideas? I do hear the fuel pump running when i turn the key to the first position.

13. About the lowering of cars, Eric forgot an important point. If your car does not have abs, chances are you have a brake pressure limiter on your car. If you lower such a car, the car "thinks" the load on the car is increased. With that, the car will ALWAYS send less pressure to the rear wheels. So you want to get that adjusted as well

15. Hey Eric I really hope you can answer my question! I bought my first car on Oct 31st and it's a 1999 Acura TL 3.2L it has 200k on it and yesterday when I was driving it was fine, smooth I should say and then when I came to a stop the car started vibrating heavier than usual. Then out of nowhere the car turned off while it was in drive and I had to turn it in to the side and tried starting it but the engine was turning and the car wasn't starting until I waited about 5mins the car started up with no problems. 20. Hey eric i have 09 tpyota matrix with a cartridge filter no matter what i do when i change it it always happens to have a small leak do you think this is an issue across most of these or could the housing be defective ive tried torqueing it to 18 lbs and using mobil one filter gets expensive

21. hey eric i have a 2002 chevy blazer it wont shift out of 2 gear to 3rd gear i've changing the shifting solenoids changed the fluid and the filter and still having problems with it not shifting please contact me 
       

22. Hi Eric. I have a 2003 subaru forester. I get 12mpg. I used a scan tool and looked at fuel trims. long term is -7, so it is rich, but not super rich. Both o2 sensors are functioning properly according to the scan tool. I replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, plug wires, air filter, and did a fuel pressure test. I also inspected the gasoline and checked the gasoline's alcohol content. All has been within spec. Any thoughts?

My name is Mike,  I have a 1993 Toyota camry,  idles ok when cold or when it's completely warmed up but between cold and warmed up it idles rough and when driving it bogs down so I ease up on the gas then reapply throttle and repeat until completely warmed up then it runs great. Is there a temp sensor I should look for ?

28. Hi Eric! I got a volvl v70 1997 20v AWD 270 000 KM
    When i changed my oil i used a product from valvoline to clean inside of my engine. After i drove the car on Hig rpm i can now hear a loud valve noise. 🙁 should i just drive it or start opening my engine to try to find the valve noise ? 🙁

    I have a 1999 Silverado Z71 with a 5.3 Vortec and 4-speed 4L60E transmission. 211,000 miles. When it is cold outside, it shifts hard, especially shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Yet, when it is at operating temperature, it shifts perfectly. I am curious on why this does this, if not caused by just cold weather and cold parts themselves.

31. '99 Pontiac Grand Am, 2.4l 4 cyl. My car has a small evap leak, that appeared last winter when I backed into a snow drift and got snow packed under the car.  I've replaced all the likely candidates(Purge valve, Vent  valve, Gas Cap). I can pressurize the lines to the front(from Vapor Canister forward, vapor canister is next to gas tank underneath), with no leaks. I can hear a leak when I pressurize the line from the canister into the gas tank.. I can't find it with soapy water(checked all visible connections in the area the sound comes from.) Planning on dropping the gas tank this weekend as the leak seems to be above it. Any input on where to look?

32. I have a 1998 Oldsmobile Acheiva and I feel my mechanic has ripped me off. I brought my car in for a belt change and oil change, then shortly after, It developed an oil leak, power steering leak, even a windshield washer fluid leak. My idle sits at around 3500rpm (pretty high for my car) and now my A/C doesn't work. How do I go from here?

34. Hi Erik, I have a 5 cylinder 2006 Chevy Colorado with 145,000 miles. I'm recently started to hear like a rattling noise coming near the alternator. I checked the alternator and I'm getting the proper voltage. It also can be coming from a black cover next to the alternator(I have no idea what's under it). I'm not getting any check-engine warnings. Any ideas what it could be? Can my alternator be going bad but still be giving me the proper readings?

I have a 2003 Chevy Blazer, every time I turn left(u-turn) it makes a clank sound, so I don't over turn, but there's time I forget and I hear it, it makes me nervous as if the tire is going to come off, but not when I make a right turn it doesn't. What do you think it could be? Thanks.
