Here I have the final installment of the Acura 3.2L TL engine replacement series. Yea! We finally get to hear it run. However, there are still a few issues to deal with such as that catalytic converter that’s causing performance problems. I’d hate to ruin our new engine. With the new converter installed you can see the difference in how the car performs.
I also dealt with the misfire after first starting up the new engine. This episode is jam packed with useful stuff. You should start the series over from the beginning, OR watch the full version posted on my website.

I wanna take my engine out and put it bk in now🤣🤣
Love the swap serie, golden. Thanks for sharing.
what a pain in the ass
Hi Eric, great job on that TL engine swap. I was wondering if it's possible to replace the engine on a 07-13 MDX from the top being that I don't have a post lift?
How long it took you ? Day or hours
I know im late to this but i loved this series
My car is honda legend 2009
hello, to change oil pump gasket and engine block. Is it necessary to disassemble the motor? thank you very much
LOL! That broken oil dipstick breaking off happened to me when changing valve cover gasket on a Honda Civic. Had to get a replacement.
I viewed the entire series just to get an idea what it takes to swap out an engine because I consider doing an engine restoration on a collectible car. I watched in horrors mistakes after mistakes were made by Eric. Some of the mistakes could cause serious personal injuries or damages to the engine and the car frame that Eric would have a hard time explaining to the owner. Granted, he agreed to take the job at fixed rate, which I believe was a mistake to start with. I can only summize that this car was bought cheap at auto auction by a used car dealer knowing it has a bad engine. He then bought a used engine and talked Eric into doing the engine swap at the flat rate. It'd would have cost over $6K to get the engine replaced at the Acura dealer because they only put remanufactured or new engine into the car so they can warranty it. It probably cost less than half of that to have Eric shoved an used engine in it. I feel sorry for the poor people who bought this car from the used car dealer who tried to sell it as a low mileage, with a replaced engine. I'd implore Eric to stay away from a job like this, you compromise your integrity and reputation and enable the unscrupulous dealer to make money off unaware buyers. There is a reason that most of us should stay away from these used car dealers trying sell junk yard vehicles that neither properly serviced nor rebuilt.
How do I properly bleed the clutch for a 2007 Acura TL
Eric the Car Guy, truly, is like an experienced math teacher showing you solutions to nebulous problems while he flawlessly makes a large metal beast his bitch. "I have spoken…"
If the same car has an automatic transmission will it still come out from the top?
I own a 04 TL just did a timing belt valve covers gasket job and Denso iridium spark plugs and coil packs. I have a 142000 mi Car runs Like A Champion. I own my TL for 12 years and I will never sell it. 3rd Generation Acuras was better built..
Hi, Eric do you recommend getting one of this acura ?
Thanks Eric.
Awesome video. Thank you
I replaced a engine for the same type of car but it dosen't turn on it just keeps turning over and has a strong smell of gas. What could be the problem?
Would you make a list of things for the next owner to replace? That would be nice of you.
It’s a good series. That clutch is going go next. Then someone has to get in there again.
When I had my Jeep's engine replaced, the shop busted off one of the hose connections on the evaporative canister and didn't tell me. They just plugged off the hose. It wasn't until a year later that another facility pointed this out to me. Needless to say, I will never go back to that shop again. There's no excuse for not fessing up and taking ownership of a mistake. Luckily I had a spare canister and changed it out. No one makes those canisters for my Jeep anymore; the only place you'll find them is at a junkyard unless some dealer still has one in their parts department.
Clean that funnel man jesus christ besides that good job
Soy hondureño y me gusto mucho estos vÃÂdeos muy buenos saludes amigo
great series, but why don't you have an in transit repair plate.
Amazing series……well done sir
93 octane or better
At least it runs
Tune up for shure.
Not Enough cranking amps
You turned the engine without the serpentine belt attached. Why didn't you have to realign the crank with the upper cam?
I had wondered if there was going to be a misfire as it could be heard during the crank. I crank the engine on the ground before install to listen for changes in compression.
So, the person who got this car to resell it bothered to get a brand name synthetic oil (Mobil 1) and even went ahead to replace a catalytic converter after getting a replacement engine swapped but couldn't be bothered to install a new clutch in it? 🤆Your customer should have taken your suggestion about the clutch. I surely would have.
Well, here's hoping this car serves its current owner well, despite it running on an oil-contaminated clutch since the original engine had signs of a bad rear main seal.
Really appreciate this video Eirc.
As an original owner of a ‘04 Accord 6 speed. The layouts are pretty much the same and spot on for bolt sizes. Biggest PIA are disconnecting harnesses.
OMG I Don't believe it! You belong in NASA. I was lost after the tires came off
How long did it actually took you to do this job? Very impressive by the way.
