Learn how to quickly and easily remove studs from an engine with using the two-nut trick! Studs do not have any ends for a wrench or ratchet to grab onto and using a plyers can damage the threads but this method will not damage the threads at all.

You're a stud, Chris 💯 Thanks for the video!
Anyone else waiting to hear that infamous tink sound?
Great to know this for any future events possibly.
Bro full video uplode bmw restor
first time i see this trick, thank you Chris
Looks like witch craft to me,
Magic!!!
Thanx sir 🤓🇺🇸ðŸ‘Â
It only took 10 years of watching ChrisFix videos before he showed me something I already knew how to do. Heck. I might have known this technique before he was even born.
Another technique learned.
Not sure when I'll need this
You're the stud we mustn't remove
Just grab it with Vise Grips and send it
Is there a certain way that I would need to put it back? Or can I just screw it back on and move on?
What if that does not work
ChrisFix could you do a full overhaul rebuild
Brilliant
Man i use this method in shipyard of tankers over 20 yerars ago to late man.
So easy
Oh come one Chris. Kinda everybody does this like that and it doesn't really matter if you damage threads because you should change old studs for new anyway.
Others’ll be like: You’ll neeed a Snap On stud remover
Genius!
I had to use this trick but in reverse. My exhaust header studs kept backing out of the head when I was loosening the nuts (with liberal penetrating fluid) so I had to tighten most of them back down. If this happens to anyone else I highly recommend using the two nut method at the end of the stud so it doesn't spin while you're trying to remove the nut
Do you have another method ? I have a broken bolt in the exhaust manifold, I already tried to weld a nut on it and did not work
Better to use a wrench on the inner nut to remove the stud because the outer nut can still spin off when using the wrench on the outer nut.
BRILLIANT!!
You don’t need two wrenches just turn the back nut and it will self tighten. however you might need 2 wrenches to get it off
You can't remove me!! Arrrrrr.
If your stud is still stuck, heat is your friend.
Just don't burn your house down.
I remember doing something similar in my robotics class, good strategy
A simple yet useful tips! Thanks chris
Those studs are fortunately very cooperative 😂 If only it were always that easy…
When is you new video gonna come I am checking you channel every single day
just use vice grips
More videos like this pls chris
Why doesn’t the outer nut unscrew when you take out the stud?
You should run the nuts down farther so you don’t risk bending or snapping the stud but otherwise good
Z
This vid shoulda been you climbing out of the engine… because you're a stud, Chris 😉
awesome
W😮W . Now that’s a great tip ðŸ‘Â
lock the nuts closer to the block it wont twist the rod if it is seized
Also don't forget to mark how far the stud a go into the head.
That is the same method I use. Not for engine blocks but for bolts fasteners that snapped after I removed the head.
yk it is a good day when ChrisfFix uploads for sure
I already knew this but I can't miss a ChrisFix video!
