  2. Worth noting that in some windshield wiper models these days there is a plastic clip inside that clip that needs to be pressed / depressed in order to get that plastic piece to move down the j-hook wiper base. Otherwise it won’t budge.

  11. I'm able to pull down to expose the hook, but when I try to get the hook off it just re-engages. I can't get the old wiper off even though I've got it loose. All of the videos like yours show that I simply have to pull it away and slide it off, but it doesn't pull away! These are the original wipers with a hook style on a Nissan Altima 2014.

Stopped to get gas at midnight in the middle of January, and trying to get the ice off the windshield wipers off my mom's car, it came off and I panicked because I could not figure put how to get it back on.
