  1. if im wrong so be it but i thought only 454 ss was black only red interior and the 350 ss or 350 sport trucks were in colors i think someone was building a 454 ss from a 350 sport

  6. If you want rare obs Chevy look for a 400ss pickup. I have seen 3 when I worked at a dealership in 91. Came in red, white and blue and were small block 400 and 5 speed manuals. Fun to drive. The owner bought every special edition or new body style Chevrolet put out and that started with his dad who started the dealership. He had what looked like mini storage building packed full. All the doors but no interior walls. He had 100's of cars back there.

  7. I’m not a big fan of the obs Chevys myself, but I love the square body Chevys. I’d rather have a lightning over the 454ss Chevy, but that’s my personal preference too. I like the lightning’s and the Dakota r/t’s a lot, but the price of stuff is getting ridiculous honestly. It’s a clean truck and sounds good, glad you kept the bbc in it instead of ls swapping it.

  8. Now find a 90's lighting! Old Nascar motors are a dime a dozen. Put an old Ford 434" Nascar setup from the 90's w/a blower… That'd be sick! I'm from Joliet, South of Chicago, and a guy who owned a dyno shop downtown had 2 of the fastest Lightnings in the country, as he claimed back in early 2000, but one box, one round body, both looked bone stock, but made well over a thousand to the tire. 24yrs ago, if you did that, you were doin something! Hell, my 11sec. S10 was fast, faster with spray, had a lil 66 Nova, black on black, straight as an arrow, stock interior, flat hood, raised in the back to let hot air out, 15" 70's 5 spokes with tryin rings, dark gray, 8" slick, w/a 14:1 355, which wouldn't go 11's w/a 4spd..so, I put a TH350 in it, and the car picked up almost a second, it'd go 30's all day! Then I put a small 125 shot, 100 jet, and took another second off, going a best of 10.28…i should've NEVER sold that car! I know I've wrote like 4x now, and I apologize, but also appreciate your time guys! I'm just another guy into cars, but man I'm trying to get my mind off of the divorce b.s going on! One day she wants to go to marriage counseling, like that same night, and I said we should be going to individual counseling, especially being free thru her work! All I did was recommend going to counseling, work on ourselves and my biggest issue, holding onto the past, resentments, etc. Then go to marriage counseling! We already tried that and found she'd been talking to this guy she was dating the whole time we were in counseling prior! That's another issue, she puts me in jail after breaking her phone, catching her talking to another guy, which I take responsibility for, I was pissed off, being provoked, but i had also packed a pair of clothes and left too, but talking to another man during a time we're supposed to be saving our marriage, just is NOT right to me, and I feel like a fuckin idiot for falling back into it, after fuck boy#4! Sorry guys for my rant, all my messages, but i need help, aside from the counseling I'm doing! I need to get this car finished up, so I can pack my shit up, and hopefully find a place to live! I even, after 5yrs, tried to work a full time job at Nissan. But they want shit done like NOW, customers staring at you, but despite that, i guess i wasn't quick enough for their liking, although my work was thorough, for what I understood had to be done! I made it almost a month until i was let go… When you have a plate and 17 screws(picture a flat, titanium toothbrush screwed from your wrist, up your inner forearm bone on my LH, and broke the carpel bones as well as severed tendons and ligaments that all had to be pinned and wired back together! Just a guy that needs a little help at the moment. If y'all are coming down to Bradenton anytime soon, i would gladly pay for your time, put you up in my parents guest room next door, and the ladies could all go out, and we can get this car fired up! Shawn, what's the chances I'm running a dual 3", or single 4"through the k member for exhaust..? P/s seems to have a lot of room, but idk how tight it'll be with the a/c compressor in there either..? I don't think 4 will fit on the d/s, 3" wrapped was tight! Then the big turbo…man, I'm just hoping that i can use my cold side and don't have to redo it all over a turbo, except V bands, where i can! That's all i got though, I'm done whining like a bitch now… Hopefully, one of my messages, we'll talk, or Josh Wynn on fb…msg me on messenger. Thanks again, watching these videos gives me at least some motivation! Might go try to do my radiator today, or pull the bent housing QP sent me…but you know how they are, i was told 3 days I'll have a new, better upgraded housing at my door! Oh, i have to bend up some brake line and adapter fitting for the rear too, and pray my d/s fits!!lol Later guys, I hope y'all have a great day and never have to go through the shit i am right now! I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy guys, no joke! And after 13yrs off heroin and some of the shit i been through, that's saying a lot! It just absolutely tears me apart!

  9. Not even any sag in those door pins! Those are notorious for the bronze bushings wearing and severely sagging! It'd be sick with the new 632, but i get what Shawn's doing, pretty much stock, lil motor work, and something he'll make a few$$ off of, rightfully so! I wish i had the money to put into a car and engine to flip, as I'm waiting on disability, 6yrs and counting, keeping me from finishing my Camaro, which is exhaust, muffler(s), a shifter cable from PPP, and welding my SFC's in! Phantom, you ready to come back to FL brother?lol All I lack is the damn welder! I NEED to get this car running, going through a divorce, and she sold my daily on me, soo unfortunately it's going to be daily driven a lil bit, hopefully after it's broke in, I'll have something else. But, if yall have any turbo stuff to sell, i need a LS 2 step, CO2 boost controller, it'd kinda be nice to have a fuel pressure gauge, as I'm on a stock ecu at this point.. 16lbs of 91/102, on a 11.5:1 408 should run pretty good though! I also need some tires with grooves to street drive, in rain…I'd run a pair of Nitto 555' dr's. I have a pair of MT Pros on my wheels now, but i get caught up in Florida rain on those, I'll be sitting or wrecked somewhere!lol Also, what do you use for ins. for your shit that's got ~$20k in the driveline, and even more elsewhere..? I'm not so comfortable with liability anymore, honestly, but I think as my divorce subsides, I'll be doing more drag n drive stuff, hopefully! I'd really like to see the car run a 7.9x ¼mi. pass, full weight plus cage, turbo kit, etc…then start taking weight out, w/o seeing where…as well as a tubular front end for room!

  10. I have a super clean Mark6 454, if you're lookin for a block to use…? Also, does it now have a salvage title due to the theft? That's what happened to my Camaro in KS, I think. It was before I got it, but the car only has 44k miles, one of the cleanest I've seen underneath, top, I can tell it's been painted, but that's body shop eyes, which I'm sure you're aware of Shawn! It don't show any lines, but it's had a new bumper cover put on, which was red, and between that, and how clean and thick the clear was, figured it's a repaint. I haven't found a spot that shows it's been in any damage tho! I'm stuck with the salvage title tho, but hopefully isn't going anywhere! Just put my 408 in it, Dart heads, FIS 91/102, on a T4 kit, which I'm having a HELL of a time to fit! Have to relocate even a stood up Griffin(4th gen shit), and I have a mighty mouse thin shroud, the hot side of the turbo hit the 16" fan motor, which I kinda need!lol. All this to keep my air, that I'll likely use 20% of the time!lol
