If u got time u need to put larger tires on that trailer. Those little things will be bald and pop well before 800 miles.
You should consider adding a drive shaft loop for the rear section of the drive shaft. It might not be entirely necessary, but it would be pretty easy for you to add one at the end of the tunnel for piece of mind.

I would bet $30 that the engine either runs fine or the timing belt slips. This dude probably changes his oil, and might have a look at it if he's experiencing loss of power, so chances are good.
