Hope you are doing well Chelsea (I know this is 3 years late). I used to drive by OHSU a lot when I lived in Portland’s West Hills.
No
Hope Chelsea did well!
B Is for build
Hey
Rg here
I need tires for my FJ
LT/MT GUARD DOG 285/70R17 10 PLY REMOLD
Hey did the steering wheel volume buttons work with new radio???
Hi, I'm stalling one of this kits tomorrow by myself. Now, I have a question, Is it possible to instead of taking the whole strut out just swinging it out to install the top spacers? I don't know if the lower screw/nut is really tight and it won't let it swing out.
I love your channel but never cut the plugs for your radio it’s a waste you can just use the harness it’s best to just buy the harness
When your rain sounds like ice
That is some very delicate suspension for an off road vehicle, especially seeing it's a Toyota. I can see why they didn't sell at all well in Australia now. Well the suspension and the fact they didn't give it a diesel option.
What fender flairs did you get? I hear ppl say bushwackers are the best but honestly if ebay ones are good i just get those
I know this is an older thread but did you purchase this from COPART through a Broker? If so then what was their fees?
Can I get a link for the radio?
I know this is late, sorry to hear You got sick Chelsea.
where did you find that kit to install the stereo i cant seem to find it
Know this is,way late, but glad she got better.
I wish this giveaway wasn’t over a year ago I’m actually looking to buy a set of tires pretty soon. I’m defiantly going to check out treadwright tires to see if I can save myself some money
The sway bar is connected to the knuckle via “stabilizer links,†or stab links. I’ll teach you something because you have taught me a lot!
nothing is better than soldering if you solder them correctly
A spring compressor isn't needed. Loosen the cam bolts on the LCA and it'll swing down more to install the shocks.
I'm doing this in one month thanks for the vid!
Fuck Chelsea.
Man, what type (brand/model) of freaking stereo????
Who won the tires?
Also you can put heavy wood blocks 2x8s to get some height out of your jack
Thats cool, giving new life and awesomeness to a previously wrecked car. And do it for cheap, anyone can throw money at things, but cool you doing it yourself
He talks too much.
What are the size of your tires
Hey man, for future reference when you're removing the front shock assembly on toyotas, use the factory bottle jack and stick it between the wheel well and the UCA and crank down on it. Using this method, you don't have to disconnect the upper ball joint.
Did you ever get an alignment after the lift ?
7 months later – pretty much should never cut the factory harness for a radio, if the radio can be replaced then there's 99% chance that there's a harness for it, as well as a dash kit. Carry on. Also, the reason that head unit doesn't fit quite right is because it's not really a perfect 2 din radio, it's close but doesn't match quite right. I tried installing one on my C5 and ruined a $250 dash kit trying to make minor adjustments.
Dude! You gotta get back to this build!!!
I glad she is getting out and that's great new she is ok hope to see her in more videos Chris 😊ðŸ‘ÂðŸÂ¾ðŸ™ÂðŸÂ½
I live in the pdx area and looking for an fj please let me know if yours is or will be for sale. This is a serious inquiry msg me if you are
Where did you buy the head unit at? Fj looks amazing can't wait to see what else you have in store. Hope Chelsea is doing better.
is that all hes doing to the fj
Just bought FJ also… the tires you have would be perfect!!!!
B is for Build How are you liking the android head unit?
I'm an FJ fan. The only mod I'd do is the last MY stereo, 2 inch lift, stock rims with offroad tires, behind stock bumper winch and a TRD supercharger and exhaust kit.
More FJ please?????
what's going on with the rest of the build?
You forgot to transfer the dustguards from the old shocks. Without the they'll wear much faster.
Nice video though.
I would love to add the LT | MT CLAW II 35X12.5 R17 to my build. They will help complete the build I am wrapping up, a 12" lifted 96' Jeep Cherokee, this is a keeper. Has Tread Wright considered a 40 or 48" tire? I will help with some durability testing 😈. I am plugged into the Jeep community here in Dallas, TX and will spread the word on how great the tires are. Thank you for the great videos! Hope your Gal pal is feeling better!!
what kind of radio is that also what was the price? thank you
as for safety… you should put the spare tyre below the car in the occasion failure of your 2 jacks.
Bit late but catching up on b is for build now. Don't know if anyone's mentioned this before, but some problems you'll have after lifting these cars is you'll see your front CVs leaking grease, run out of camber and castor alignment adjustment and your upper ball joints over extending.
Aftermarket upper arms will be able to fix both alignment and ball joint issues. With the CVs, you can just replace the boots or put new shafts in.
I'd recommend getting extended sway bar links as well as an adjustable panhard rod to put the rear end back to original geometry.
Oh and speedy recovery Chelsea!!
