Dude. Next time use some lube on that hone. Dry f***king it isn't good for neither the hone or your cylinder walls. Also those little guys on the plate you took off the head are called lost motion assemblies. They make your VTEC work.

Takin em out is easy….just smack the top with a socket and the whole assy pops up just be sure to keep pressure toward the valve to deter the pieces from popping out wild….puttin em back is the pain in the butt. You may be surprized to know that you can actully push them with yur thumbs. Just sorta put the keepers in the anticipated area and start pushing and make your goal to get one of the halves seated…then push the other side down…..theres a million ways ive seen a guy use a hundred pound weight with a 3/4 inch socket welded on it that he had ground a mouse hole in the side of suspended from an electric winch that worked very well. He used a ratchet strap to hold in place a concave piece of a hard but padded knee pad to hold the valves against the port. He could install a row of 8 in about 10 mInutes hed lower that weight on it depressing it then he used needle nosed pliers to manipulate the pre-greased keeper halves onto the stem and the great thing about the winch is it provided a nice and slow action when raising the weight back up allowing the keepers time to seat well….i was impressed they can be frustrating for even the seasoned mechanic due to the many various configurations out there believe me theyre not all near as easy as an old school sbc lol…grab ya one of these new-fangled import heads where the assy is 2" inches down in a tunnel lol…either way any and all of these different video suggestions are welcome im all about if you got a better way by all means i wanna see it i consider myself a good mechanic and will admit that youtube is DEFINETELY one of my greatest resources when i get in a bind….never lose the desire to learn my friends
Insane to spend all that time making a valve spring compressor – mine was $10 off ebay and has five different sized slotted valve spring fittings.

Dude you can use a socket and a extension to get those keepers off. I've done ti that way many times the d series valve springs are not very strong you can do it all by hand no tool necessary

Yep I dont think one of those compressors will fit down in my little Geo head. No room! Is there really no good way to do little asian engines? Every valve job I've seen done has some janky way to do this. Yours is the best I've seen though!
