Keep hearing you refer to the motor blowing & trans failing as "part of racing" & while I agree parts taking constant abuse of track conditions and parts at the limit of their capabilities under high stress will fail and need replacement and that is truly part of racing no pro driver has ever had a shred of mechanical sympathy that being said that's why companies like 4piston offer their motors & quaife their transmissions and costing $15k + each these aren't cheap nor run of mill and there is a difference between a failure after 2 or 3 seasons of hard track abuse vs 2-3 hours of light run time. That shouldn't happen and is not part of racing. And with no solid explanation especially the trans I'm now terrified to pull the trigger on a quiafe myself having been saving for one for years. As far as the motor 4 piston is certainly big in NA FWD drag but maybe 1000hp time attack isn't their cup of tea
