WATCH NOW TO FIND OUT!!!

It’s always an adventure when you get friends and family together, pull out powered paragliders, mix in an old German fire truck, and put up $10,000 in cash (each).

On this episode of “Adventures with Purpose”, our team set out to fly powered paramotors with the mission of using bowling balls to hit a target 🎯 flying 500′ up in the air.

Patty Mayo had a crash landing on his paramotor shortly after launch. πŸš€

There’s always a Plan B and the fire truck was quickly repurposed for a second $10,000 bowling ball challenge.

Who walked away from the ultimate bowling ball winner with $30,000 dollars in hand?

Crazy and fun shenanigans on this bowling ball paramotor adventure with plenty of laughs along the way.

WANT TO LEARN HOW TO FLY PARAMOTORS?

First, a word of caution.

Flying powered paragliders over water, trees or into backcountry can be dangerous.

Here is the quick rundown and I hope the following info helps.

Paramotor Training…
Don’t try learning on your own from watching a few videos.
Don’t do a half day, 1 day or 3-day training.
Real training is a good 6-10 days and usually runs $1500 to $2500 for lodging, training, and use of instructor equipment.

If you find a Paragliding Instructor who will have you flying after the first day, run away. You should be on the ground for the first 3-5 days learning nothing but glider control.

Only after you can control your wing with your eyes closed, then and only then should you add a motor.

As for paramotoring equipment, I’m happy to share what I fly and why.

Like any sport, you have options.

There is cheap equipment, equipment that lacks safety and higher end Cadillac equipment.

What is your skill level?

Are you a newbie or have you been in the sport a while?

Currently, I’m flying the Scout Paramotor with the Vittorazi Moster 185 engine and a U-Turn Progress 24m Paraglider Wing.

How Much Does a Paramotor Cost?
For what I fly, you can get into the sport on a good used setup for $7k-9k or $12k-$13k new which includes your motor, wing, and reserve.

Really, you can’t beat that price for personal flight.

Best thing is it all packs up as small and fits in the trunk of your car if needed.

Best Sport Ever!!! IMHO
