  1. i live about 30 miles from there … that is a town , hidden in the hills . don't give this cop a hard time . this is what has been taught to him . give him information . show him laws and court rulings … . he wasn't a prick … right ?

  2. Office Weaver has some great qualities and potential. He showed that he had serious concerns for the situation, but also interacted with his own explanations and line of thinking. The only remark I would make is the mindset of making people suspicious if they don’t want to ID that’s one of the biggest problems officers have. Wish him al the best! Also when officer weaver feels a bit sad he can go to this comment section and get an instant boost of positivity. It’s always strikes me that the tyrants complain about oh they just want the YouTube click and the mean comments.

  3. I'm going to be honest, I don't typically blame individual cops for not understanding when they can and can't detain and identify people. They're going off of their training, and their training is the issue. They are trained to fear the public and violate people's rights. They have this obsession with IDing everybody they come in contact with, and that is because of their training as well

  4. This cop seems extremely slow on the draw to be a cop. He’s trying to explain all the steps he’s doing which is good, but since he’s misinformed about the law it’s to no avail

  5. Can anybody help me with the 6th amendment? It says you have the right “to be confronted with the witnesses against them”. I don’t ever hear anybody exercise this right. When cops say that the information they received was anonymous, people should exercise their 6th amendment rights more often.

  6. Everyone rooting for the auditor, but if acting like this keeps allowing human trafficking to skyrocket, the same people blame cops for not doing enough.
Seems obvious you wouldn’t want to be associated crimes regarding minors by acting so defensive

  7. I will give you this one just because the cop did not let his ego control his actions and he did learn a good lesson but imo which means nothing but I would say c to c+

  8. He may be ignorant of the laws and civil rights but at the very least he remained calm and professional and didn't push an ego driven narrative

  9. The US citizen should not need to be put through this type of harassment for doing nothing .
Cops should be trained weekly , they need training

  10. cops questions is always against citizens paying cops salary, ask for a lawyer and not answer any, but most funny is to say? je parle francais, and after any question say: i want a french speaking lawyer. Of course vous devez parler couremment le francais, its a weapon against cops and excellent protection

  11. This officer did a good job. I know there are a lot of people now who are more into police being bad and not helping them, and it seems there are more and more people who are triggered just from seeing a police officer. But from what I've seen, it can be justified to be uncooperative with the police.

Still, there has to be a middle ground of politeness, witch doesn't interfere with people's lives or liberties and also doesn't make them sound insensitive.

In a situation that involves a child that might be hurt, lost, or in danger, I don't know if I could be as calm or detatched as either one of these people, police or citizen.

  12. Seeing policemen like this one, acting in this manner, makes me wonder the criteria the PD uses to choose candidates to the Police Dept.

  13. Ummm… great cop… but what about the kid that might be in trouble. It seems like that whole safety of a child thing got a bit derailed by this bs…

  14. Clearly, this Auditor knows that dealing with potentially corrupt police officers in INHARANTLY dangerous, so WHY would he intentionally endanger his children by bringing them along with him to do this. Teaching moments are one thing, but although I commend his dedication; potentially endangering his children for no good reason is just STUPID! This officer was decent, but clearly that is not always the case.

  15. The cop gets an F. He literally detained him unconstitutionally. That is an F period. You don’t get to violate someone’s rights and then say “oops sorry”. This isn’t North Korea

  16. I would be super pissed if a cop insinuated that I was suspected of allowing my kids to run around naked which is basically what he’s doing.

  17. Officer Weaver, I solute you sir!. Keep up the good work, You handled the situation very professional. I can't say much about your fellow officers, with the multiple videos I watched, they seem to think they're above the law and manipulate the laws to suit themselves, Narcissists! You're more like our Australian police.
