Here is an easy repair you can perform and save yourself a lot of money in the process. You might be surprised at how easy this really is. I think the hardest part will be sourcing the bulbs, but I’ve made that easy for you further down in the description.

thank you Eric !!!! looks easy even for me!
This is great. Question, can you also do a video to replace the bulbs on the 3 dash gauges?
Just followed your directions, thanks! Super helpful ❤
Thanks
Settings bulbs went out on the HVAC controls of my Pilot. Honda wanted $13 per bulb. Ridiculous.
So I just ordered the actual bulb (not the plastic holder of the unit) from Amazon. Ten pack for a few dollars. After that just trivially replace the glass bulb in the plastic holder and save yourself a hundred dollars.
Thanks! Is it possible to replace the factory wiring to the stereo? Mine was cut before I got it and I would like to avoid splicing it back together if possible.
PROBLEM SOLVED. PROPS TO YOU, MY BROTHER.
Mine are on and off probable cause?
Thanks Eric. That was very helpful. You Rock man!
Thank you SO much for this – I just swapped mine out and it only took a few minutes thanks to you sharing. Much appreciated!!
Most impressive part of the video is how you were album to pull that bulb out with one hand so flawlessly. I can’t get it out for the life of me.
Eric are the honda element good reliable sub
So happy to have a car I can actually work on again, these videos are super helpful, thanks!
Thanks, man. This video was timely and perfect. Excellent tutorial.
When you have ETCG, do you really even need a dealer?
Thank You for Your video! You have part number for the dial bulb a little wrong in your description. It’s 79629-S3V-A01. Love my element 🙂
Came here just to see how to do this. I just bought a 2008 EX-P and the fan speed light is out.
question: worth swapping all the bulbs out to LED style bulbs? and if so, which ones would you recomment?
2nd stupid question:
are the CH / Vol / Mode / RES accel / Cancel / Set Decel buttons on the steering wheel supposed to be illuminated?
Bro, I am glad i found these video's. I just Bought and Element from my sister and it needs some maintenance.
Well,I would maybe change this, but I know what button is,so I don’t think it is necessary
Do you have a part number for the hazard light bulb?
Pls why does my inner light don't come on when I open the car door? Any help
I always wondered why the hazard lights had so many damn wires… it's seems like it should just be an on/off switch with a single wire!?! LOL
Thank you for your tutorial.
Thanks!
That damn beeping noise is SO annoying, I’m going to find that freaking thing and rip it out of my Element. As I understand it’s hidden away in the cluster panel. 😤
Thanks for the vid! Looks like the correct item number for the dial bulbs is actually "79629-S3V-A01" rather than "79629-SV3-A01" as mentioned in the description?
Hi Eric. Do you know what bulb is needed to replace the one that illuminates the hazard switch? Thanks for a great video!
Hi Eric, the dial bulb part number is 79629-S3V-A01, small typo in your description.
can you make a video on how to replace busted bulbs on a honda civic 2000 climate control switches,.
Thank you for your videos…you are a truly MVP!
Thank you sir
What/where does one get that white plastic tool you used to remove the trim?
what size is the hazard switch bulb?
It sounded like there where two different lights the three on top and three on bottom is that right?
2:35 "Bulb on a stick" reminds me of José Jalepeño on a steeeek lol
Thanks Eric my hazard switch bulb on my 04 Element just went out
Perfect ! I have a 09 SC with the shift bulb out. I watched this video in hopes that you would reveal a way to do the shifter. Boom ! You rock Eric. Thank you
Now if I could just find a original rear hatch wing. The cool one.
Is there a way to fix lights out on the dash? The light on my speedometer is out but the light on the arrow still works.
Thanks – Easy and Quick instructions !
Love the video
What about replacing with led bulbs? Is there a way?
Thank you, Eric!
Excellent! My Element has a half dozen dead bulbs now also it's time to replace them all. Also, the factory stereo has intermittent operation, mostly just the aux/mp3 connection works, I'm thinking a cable is loose.
Good information!my friend have a 2003 Honda Element. There is no leaks but the is loosing oil. Do you think is a head gasket. I forgot to mention. The coolant is always low .

I'm not sure how cheap those honda bulbs are, but when I tried to buy bulbs from Hyundai they wanted around $10 per bulb. I found you can actually buy just the bulb for < 50c (I believe I got mine at bulbtown) and put it on the old socket pretty easily.
I just bought them in bulk and did every single bulb in both my Hyundai and Subaru to get it over with.
My mother's 2005 honda crv always aggravates me with the blower motor off and ac not in use air always comes through the vents its frustrating if people want air they wouldn't have the system off have you seen this problem on crvs as well as other Hondas Eric @EricTheCarGuy
Nice work @EricTheCarGuy
We’ve done this to my little brothers 2007 Acura TL. We did it with LED versions instead of the original incandescent bulb versions.
