  1. I feel that many people who considers pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, and even Doctoral's fail to realize what the economy will be like at the time they are expected to earn them. I initially thought about going to grad school after graduating in May 2019, but ultimately chose not to because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it. And it's not because of the curriculum, but other factors people tend to blindly see such as: finances, work obligations, family, mental health, etc. With this pandemic, the job market is even more competitive since those job candidates who were recently laid off likely have more experience than recent graduates (including Doctoral's).

Please consider this before you decide to further your education! I know you want to "gain the college experience," but you shouldn't let it come back to haunt you in the end.

  2. College prices should be hike as it should be more expensive than what it is. Increase tuition and textbook prices.

  3. Is call getting a job and keep moving forward. I did it regardless of this epidemic but we need to stop trying to make excuses. I am 1st generation, immigrant parents, low income, full time job and full time student. I pay rent all the time and you don't see me at the news trying to get attention. Work hard and you'll get what you deserve. I have actually got the advantage to work more and provide more cause my classes are online now. GROW UP!

  4. I not looking forward to pay for my first year college expenses. I currently work 40 hours per week while learning two ap classes and my CNA nursing class. I help my parents by paying the internet, part of the electricity & mortgage, and the car insurance. I also have to pay for my braces monthly. So, sooner or later I don't know what will happen in the future. I'll be the first in my family to go to college pursuing for my Nurse Practitioner. I excel at school and I hope I don't have to take a gap year. I got into this excellent program of nursing to get my BSN and I don't want to drop it. This is my side of the story.

  5. It may not seem like it now but what they are going through may well be a blessing for too often when things go bad, those with the mindset of entitlement are the weakest. Their struggles are not just something they get through but will defined them years from now.

  6. wake up and smell the coffee. why are they so afraid to mention the documents being released as of a week ago. that is news, this is hiding behind snowflake stories like this here.

  8. Oooooo I like this! 9. Higher education costs so much. And it doesn't guarantee a higher paying job. Especially with some of the lame ass majors that are offered today

  10. Consider go to Asian counties to teach English, at best some courses related to your majors. You can normally get decent pay and living expense is less. (Asian people are more friendly.) Hopefully you can help your family too.

Wish you all the best, confident in all of you young friends.

  11. “Trust in the lord with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding, acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will direct your paths” Proverbs 3:5-6
