Life After Prison And Homeless (Lucky’s story)

So on the day I filmed this, I had no work. I was driving around from parking lot to parking lot with nothing to do but think about how bad business has been. Then while driving around, I passed this guy sitting on the corner of the road with a bunch of signs and artwork. I didn’t think much of it at the time. But after a while thought about going back to where he was and possibly talking to him and seeing if he would be interested in sharing his story. Whatever that might be. I had no camera gear. Nor any idea what, if anything, this could be. When I did go speak with him it didn’t take long for him to tell me that he was released from prison in 2022 after spending nearly 10 years in prison. I asked him if he would be interested in sharing his story in a video. And that’s how this came to be. Maybe it was fate. Something good for him and possibly positive for him to experience. And a spark I needed when it comes to creating the kind of content that I think AfterPrisonShow should showcase. Who knows? Regardless, I think this came out pretty interesting and good. And I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Wow, this guy is straight up. Most people still keep some things on the low, not Lucky. Takes a heavy sack to honestly talk about his struggles , especially on camera. Hope he overcomes everything and gets straight. Great job Joe, some of the best work I’ve seen you do.

  2. This is the content I originally stuck around for Joe
Love you and what you do, and I understand you ran out of prison stories and youve been honest about that, but I think this kind of content is your true calling Joe. Keep it up please! From an old fan

  3. Good to see you Joe! He's got a story, but as a Christian, I pray he gives his life to Jesus, there's no other way. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, the Life, there's no way to the Father, except through Jesus. God Bless you, and your family.

  4. Miss you bro the views may not be here right now but you have a family viewing and we all love your content I watched since I was like 13 listening to your prison story’s and learning what could happen if I didn’t watch how I acted and what I did your awesome man keep it up and grow your family.

  5. JOE,if i could be honest, you still have it, man. In hindset your mindset, whether it be flipping house or landscaping too painting you are 100 percent real you keep pushing forward to support your family and changed your life for the better. I know it brings you down with your painting business at times with the bullshit you go through. But sit back and look how far you came since your release and what you
accomplished and became a Dad and the feeling and excitement and the emotion of a new fond love and bond you have of
    being a father and
husband, you came a long way to be proud, brother. Your painting business is a small hurtle to overcome and the challenges you have faced since your release. Sir, you already defeated just about what life throws at you. Take time and look how far you came and accomplished. That there is the biggest hurtle you overcome your business adventures are a cakewalk. You got this, brother. I really you take time and read this comment because I'm just speaking from the heart.

  6. I wish Lucky the best. He seems like a very genuine person and it’s hard to describe but he has a friendly face. I hope we hear more from him.

  7. Broski I know I commented on a Rabbit video yesterday suggesting for you to do something like this with the channel, apparently I was just reading your mind 😂🔥🇨🇦

  8. Good listen headed home from work tonight. Much love and respect from WA State 👊🏼 💪🏼

  9. "I've OD'ed three times since I've been out" geez, praying for this guy to get better. Also, hopefully the dope he buys with the money from this video doesn't end up being the high he doesn't come back from
