My trip to SEMA 2016 was epic and the time I spent at the WD-40 Brand booth was one of the best SEMA experiences I’ve had. Not only did some of my old friends stop by, but I made several new ones as well.
The stand outs at the WD-40 Brand booth are obviously the ’67 Camaro built in a partnership with SEMA for both the Camaro, and SEMA’s 50th anniversary. The car is set to go to the auction block at Barrett Jackson. The proceeds will benefit Childhelp, an organization that provides services to abused and neglected children, as well as the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to students entering the automotive aftermarket.

Dave Hardgraves did a great job designing and building one of the coolest bikes I’ve ever seen called, Athena. Athena is a ‘bug out’ bike specifically built for utility. I want one bad and I’m not much of a bike guy.

I didn’t get to see much of the rest of the show, but what I did see was the usual amazing stuff you’d expect to see at one of the biggest car shows in the world.
A couple of things stood out though. The first was there seemed to be a lot of trucks at SEMA this year. Also the color grey was seen quite a bit. Lastly, engraving and embossing seems to be a thing in the coming year.
