  6. Given the recent announcement by DR officials that the hit was a mistaken Identity, it could not be more evident this is an effort to cover up the identity of those implicated. 99% of the time when a "capo" (drug lord) is involved the government is directly tied.

  12. Full blown cover up to protect David Ortiz. "Mistaken Identity" is pure PR to protect the legacy of Davis Ortiz. Anyone care to explain why David Ortiz goes to the DR for weeks every year and leaves his family behind? How many husbands, fathers do you know who does that?

  20. A Heroin deal gone bad. But When you are a drug dealer/smuggler then expect a life of violence. Heroin is probably the worst of all the illicit drugs, I'm not sure if Ortiz was just a courier, or if his millions had bank rolled the operation, but either way, he'll probably hire some high-end lawyer and walk away Scott free ala O.J. SIMPSON. It's a shame that this guy couldn't just take all that money that he made in the United States, and just retire on some island, tooting coke for the rest of his days, but no, greed is always the down fall of so many people, with tons of money, and too much idle time on their hands.

    Possibly related to dating a high ranking military official's ex-girlfriend who is tied to government officials ordered the hit. Possibly FBI and CIA may have dirt on them and are using the info to manipulate the outcome of the next presidential elections in the DR.
